Chicago. October 12-14. SOCAP26.

We are thrilled to share an update about SOCAP26: SOCAP Global will host its annual flagship conference in Chicago for the very first time from October 12-14, 2026!

SOCAP has always been about connecting people who work at the intersection of money and meaning while highlighting the world-changing work to which we aspire. Some of the most important global innovations in impact investing, place-based investing, and inclusive capital are happening in Chicago and across the American Midwest. Bringing a long-overdue global spotlight to the area helps us to advance our purpose and our field. We couldn’t be more excited about this evolution for our community.

As we take this next step, we acknowledge the people and places that have shaped SOCAP into what it is today. San Francisco will always be home and part of our identity. It shaped our origins more than 18 years ago and continues to influence our mindset to this day. We are taking the SOCAP show on the road for now, but we will be back home in SF soon!

We believe this next chapter will be our strongest yet. Tune in to a new episode of the Money + Meaning podcast to learn more.

Our team is also evolving. Our beloved, longtime Community Engagement Manager, Fabienne Blanc, is retiring this year. In so many ways, Fabienne represents the very heart of SOCAP Global and has been a fixture of our community for nearly two decades. We are excited for her, even as we know her absence will be felt by our team and throughout the SOCAP community. We also welcome Kristin Carlson Vogen as our Chicago-based Sr. Director of Community & Partnerships, who is already providing valuable contributions as we bring our event to the Midwest for the first time.

We hope you will join us in continuing to shape SOCAP and advancing the field for what matters most: our work, our community, and our shared vision of moving capital toward impact.

Thank you for being part of the SOCAP community,

Robert Munson, CEO, SOCAP Global

From Registration to the Heart of the Community: Fabienne Blanc’s SOCAP Journey

Fabienne has led the registration process (and so much more) at SOCAP since SOCAP11. As she retires, join us in honoring her enduring and people-centered career.

As we prepare for SOCAP26, long-time team member Fabienne Blanc is preparing for the next stage in her life: retirement! Fabienne is, as many of the SOCAP team members put it, “the heart of the SOCAP community,” and we wanted to take a moment to honor her legacy and role in making SOCAP the powerful, impactful, and authentic community that it is today. In this conversation, Fabienne answers a few questions to provide her perspective on how SOCAP has changed over the last 15 years alongside the field of impact, what has kept her dedicated to the event year after year, and what she hopes for SOCAP’s future.
